One week to go.

One week feels like tomorrow. BOY that six weeks goes fast.

7 more days sleeping at home. 7 more nights to watch Friends. 7 more days to enjoy the washer and dryer. 7 more hot showers. And 7 more days to tell everyone how much I love them. Why am I doing this again?

While running around packing as if I actually am leaving tomorrow, I got an email from Peace Corps saying that they were looking for someone else to go into Deaf Education instead of Science. My official invitation was for science, but since I have experience in ASL, they recommended me to Deaf Ed. How cool is that?

I suppose I don't care which I get, but I think the Deaf Ed may be younger kids, which might be a little more fun.

Anywho, not sure who actually reads my blog but I just wanted to send grateful, happy, thoughts everyone's way. I can't thank everyone enough for either helping me through this process, coming to the farewell shindig, buying me new swiss army knives and video cameras for my mud hut, or just being my friend. I have the greatest friends and family in the whole entire world, and I'm pretty sure there won't be one day in Africa when I won't miss every one of you.

Hope everyone's Fall is going well. I miss you all like crazy already.

Cheers!

Shub :)
