We made it!

Hi hi! Just wanted to let everyone know that I am alive and safe in Kenya. We made it in to Nairobi this evening (it's almost 1AM here; 7 hours ahead) and we lucked out on a hotel that has wi-fi, but only in certain rooms. Thankfully all of us PCTs (Peace Corps Trainees) like each other enough to share spots where we can pick it up and share computers too.

Tomorrow we have another full day of orientations and shots and stuff, and Saturday morning we leave for actual training. I found out on the bus ride from the airport that I am probably going to be in Secondary Deaf Ed., which means I will be teaching Chemistry, Biology, and Physics IN Kenyan Sign Language. Eeek! Hopefully it won't be as tough as it sounds.

Hope you all are doing well! It's been just a few days and I miss everyone millions. But they're keeping us busy enough that we don't have TOO much time to think about home. The group that I came with is absolutely awesome, and they are totally making things easier every step of the way. Hooray for friends!

Ok ok, gotta run! Not sure when I'll find internet again but I will definitely try.

Bunches of love,

Shub :)
